About Me
I’m Marci Lorena Bayona a Colombian born visual artist and portrait photographer based in Belgium since 2008. My work lives between two worlds: the personal stories I tell through my art , about motherhood, migration, memory, and resilience and the stories I’m invited to witness through the lens, photographing families, children, pregnancies, and newborns with honesty and care.
In both realms, I seek the same thing: presence, connection, and truth. Whether I’m documenting the quiet magic of a newborn’s first days, the glow of an expectant mother, or the complex inner world of adolescence, I approach photography as a way to hold what is fleeting and give it form.
Alongside my commissioned work, I develop personal art projects that have been exhibited and published internationally. I use analogue photography, printmaking, and mixed media to create poetic visual narratives that speak softly but deeply.
If you're looking for someone to capture your story with warmth, attention, and soul — welcome. Let’s create something beautiful together.
